The Mossy Frog

The Mossy Frog, Vietnamese Mossy Frog, or Tonkin Bug-eyed Frog (Theloderma corticale), is a species of frog in the Rhacophoridae family. It is found in Northern Vietnam and possibly China. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, subtropical or tropical moist montane forests, freshwater marshes, intermittent freshwater marshes, and rocky areas. It is a semi-aquatic, semi-arboreal species that is threatened by habitat loss.

The common name of the mossy frog arises from the fact that its skin is a mottled green and brown that resembles moss growing on rock, and forms an effective form of camouflage. They have large sticky pads on their toes and a soft underbelly. As with most Tree Frogs, the females will grow larger than the males and can reach sizes of 7–8 cm (3 inches). This species will curl into a ball when frightened, and play dead.

Mount Ararat

Mount Ararat is a snow-capped, dormant volcanic cone . It has two peaks: Greater Ararat (the highest peak with an elevation of 5,137 m) and Lesser Ararat (with an elevation of 3,896 m).
Mount Ararat in Judeo-Christian tradition is associated with the "Mountains of Ararat" where, according to the book of Genesis, Noah's ark came to rest. It also plays a significant role in Armenian culture and irredentism.

Glacial Waterfalls

In this jaw-dropping photograph we see glacial waterfalls cascading into the sea. The photo was taken on or near Spitsbergen, the largest and only permanently populated island of the Svalbard archipelago in Norway. Svalbard represents the northernmost part of Norway, located about midway between mainland Norway and the North Pole.

On Earth, 99% of glacial ice is contained within vast ice sheets in the polar regions. Glacial ice is the largest reservoir of freshwater on Earth, supporting one-third of the world’s population. Many glaciers store water during one season and release it later as meltwater, a water source that is especially important for plants, animals and human uses when other sources may be scant.

The Dog Hero :')

Dogs are very Loyal Creatures. They
accompany their owners, give them
enjoyment of their presence and at
times even risk their lives for those who
care for them.

Kabang , a family dog from philippines,
saved two children from being hit by a
speedy motorcycle.
Kabang sacrificed herself , blocking the
route of motorcycle. As a result , she
was badly injured, losing a part of her
face and jaw.
Local Vets said that the family could
leave the dog in their hands for
Euthanasia. The family refused and took
care of the injured animal themselves.
After the story spread round the world,
the public donated US $20,000 for
operations that could repair injured
Kabang.
That proves Dogs are humans' best
friends.

Mouse Attacks Snake to Save Friend

At Hangzhou Zoo in Zhejiang province, eastern China, zookeepers
witnessed an unusual sight after two live mice were placed in a snake’s enclosure for supper. Defying the natural order (snake eats mouse, mouse passively complies), this astonishing set of images shows what happens
when one plucky rodent is unwilling to let a
viper take his friend. According to the keeper,
the second mouse usually hides while the snake devours his
or her mate. But after dinner had started, the other mouse attacked the snake and bit him as it tried to kill its friend. While it was too late to save him/her, the attacking mouse was given his freedom after the keeper felt he’d earned his
right to live.

Million-to-one Black and White Twins

The odds of a mixed race couple having twins of different colours are a million to one. The million-to-one black and white twins Kian and Remee turn seven. One is black and has big brown eyes. The other is a blue-eyed blonde with the palest of skin. They might share the same cheeky smile, but side by side, they could hardly look less alike. Yet remarkably, Kian and Remee are twins, born a minute apart.
